The Advanced Imaging Methods Workshop is a 3-day event focused on new and emerging optical microscopy techniques and their applications with a special focus on time-resolved techniques. This workshop brings together internationally-renowned researchers in a wide variety of fields, including biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, probe design, cellular biology, neuroscience, optics, and more. Past speakers have included 5 Nobel Laureates: Roger Tsien, WE Moerner, Stephen Hell, Eric Betzig, and Steven Chu.
In addition to invited talks from leaders in the field, AIM also includes vendor shows and demonstrations on-site and off-site at the CRL Molecular Imaging Center (MIC) and the Advanced BioImaging Center (ABC). Registration includes a popular poster session with beer, wine, and fine appetizers in the Julia Morgan Room at the Berkeley City Club on Thursday evening and a sumptuous farewell reception on Friday evening. Morning coffee and pastries and gourmet lunches every day are also included for all participants. There will be three vendor fairs with prizes this year, on-site workshops on image processing, and a special breakout session TBA.
